Camden and Campbelltown Hospital provides a variety of Birth and Early Parenting Groups to provide information and support to women and their families who are birthing their babies at Campbelltown Hospital. Please note: For all groups only ONE ticket is needed. A partner or support person is welcome to attend using that one ticket, please do not book an additional ticket.

This comprehensive program facilitated by a midwife will help you prepare for labour, birth and early parenting. Topics covered include an overview of labour, strategies for labour and birth, interventions, breastfeeding and newborn care. The program is run either over 6 consecutive Wednesday evenings (6.30 to 8.30pm) or 2 consecutive Saturdays (9.30am to 4pm). It includes a tour of the Birthing Unit (when available).

This comprehensive program facilitated by a midwife will help you prepare for labour, birth and early parenting. Topics covered include an overview of labour, strategies for labour and birth, interventions, breastfeeding and newborn care. This program is run over 6 consecutive Thursday evenings at Camden Hospital (6.30-8.30pm).
These sessions do not include a tour of the Birthing Unit. This can be booked separately and free of charge.

Breast Beginnings
Between Tuesday 22 October 2024 and Tuesday 10 December 2024
This 2 hour antenatal breastfeeding education session covers basic breastfeeding principles to help build your confidence and get you and your baby off to the best possible start. It includes positioning, attachment, normal newborn attachment and nipple care. This session is suitable for all women over 28 weeks of pregnancy.

Bengali Breastfeeding Group

Information group for pregnant women (and their support person) to learn about breastfeeding in Bengali.
