The Brisbane Parkour Association (BPA) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to delivering parkour education and encouraging safe practice of parkour across SE Qld. The association aims to promote parkour as an inclusive movement discipline of self-progression, exploration and play that is accessible to anyone.

Fundamentals/Progressions - Age 12+ - Brisbane CBD

Between Saturday 3 July 2021 and Saturday 21 December 2024
You must have attended a First Timers class before attending a Fundamentals class. PLEASE NOTE - FUNDAMENTALS CLASS TIMES CHANGE TO THE SUMMER SCHEDULE OF 4PM - 6PM AS OF 28TH SEPTEMBER. Our Fundamentals class covers all the essential movements of Parkour and other aspects of the discipline, including strength and conditioning training, stretching, training methods and the philosophies behind Parkour. Fundamentals classes are open to all skill levels, from those just starting out their training to the more advanced who may want to hone their technical skill.

These classes cover the basics of learning Parkour from a young age, including safety techniques to keep them training while minimising the risk of injury, as well as the fun and practical sides of Parkour. Kids have instinctual habits which work well with Parkour and can be developed further as they grow into more advanced training. This foundation of techniques and forming of good habits at a young age will benefit their balance, coordination, proprioception and confidence in movement.

First Timers - Age 12+ - Brisbane CBD

Between Saturday 3 July 2021 and Saturday 23 November 2024
Suitable for absolute beginners aged 12 years and over of any fitness level. Attendance at a First Timers class is required before being able to attend our other classes (except Kids and Adults classes). This class involves discussion about various principles of Parkour, and introduces basic movements fundamental to Parkour training and our other classes. It is only required that you attend First Timers class once, but if you would like to go through it multiple times that is also fine.

Community “Scaffold” Day

Between Saturday 11 December 2021 and Saturday 18 February 2023
Yes that’s right, after a long hiatus, we’re bringing the ‘Scaff’ back into Community Day! We’ll be setting up a full range of custom built scaffolding equipment with bars for vaults, laches and precision jumps. We’ll also have vaulting boxes and mats to drill those tricky movements you’ve been trying to get! It’s also a great option for total beginners, with our free First Timers session after lunch. And with the Open session running all day, you can practice the new techniques you’ve learnt. Josh will also be running a free Low Impact session in which you’re encouraged to train gently in the spirit of longevity, while learning efficient, playful and appropriately challenging movements. See below for a summary of the day’s events, and please book further down the page for your chosen session/s. – Open session: 0930 – 1730 – Low Impact session: 1100 – 1200 – First Timers session: 1300 – 1400 We’ll also be running chase-tag matches, floor is lava games & time trials!

Brisbane Parkour Bus Jam

For the first time in Brisbane parkour or Australian parkour history, we are hosting a parkour bus jam. We have chartered a bus and will be going to different spots during the day! This day will most likely be an epic day of training in spots that are normally hard to get to with public transport. So bring those cameras, prepare your body and experience a massive jam of the times. On Saturday 12th November, meet on the corner of Wharf and Turbot Streets at 0930 Sharp!

Buranda Community Jam

We're running a free Community Jam Saturday 1st October beginning at 1:30PM. This time we’re headed to the Parkour Park at Buranda, all are welcome, we’ll have some music playing and might also run some casual games if people are feeling it. This isn’t a class so there won’t be any official instruction, however it’s a great opportunity to train with each other in a friendly environment and find some challenges to work on.
