FREE Women's Self-Defence Class
Between Saturday 8 March 2025 and Sunday 16 March 2025
Empower yourself with confidence and practical self-defence skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Led by a martial arts expert with over 20 years of experience, this self-defence course will cover real-world techniques and self-protection strategies that comply with Queensland law.
In each session, participants will:
· Learn simple & effective self-defence techniques
· Improve situational awareness and personal safety
· Gain confidence and feel more secure in daily life
· Train with a highly experienced professional
· Safe & supportive learning environment
Places are strictly limited and registrations essential!

April School Holiday Drama Classes

Box Jelly Theatre Co. (supported by RADF) are excited to present a dynamic four-day drama workshop during the second week of the April school holidays, designed for school aged children up to 15 years old.
Through interactive activities and hands-on experience, young participants will dive into the world of theatre, discovering the joy of self-expression, building confidence, and enhancing teamwork skills. This fun and engaging workshop is the perfect opportunity for children to explore their creativity in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Each day from 9am - 3pm
Light refreshments will be provided, BYO lunch.
Sessions will include - Acting games and exercises (e.g., mime, storytelling, character creation), Improvisation games (e.g., freeze tag, story building), Voice and diction exercises, Rehearsal for the short play, Character development and scene work, Stage blocking and movement and Costume and prop exploration.

Join entomologists Dr David Rentz (AM), specialist in Orthoptera, the family of insects that includes grasshoppers, locusts, katydids and crickets and Buck Richardson, the "moth whisperer", as they guide you through the gardens to identify insects and animals.
