Due to netball's high intensity nature, players are required to have explosive acceleration speed, the ability to decelerate and change direction fast. Therefore it is important for training to be specialised to improve aerobic and anaerobic capacity, muscular strength and power, agility, speed, co-ordination, balance and reaction time.
