Konica Minolta Landcare Volunteering

Get your hands dirty and volunteer at a landcare event on Sydney's North Shore (location TBC between Northbridge & Lane Cove National Park). You will be rehabilitating urban bushland to support biodiversity and regeneration of native vegetation. Activities will include removing invasive weeds, nature walk to learn about biodiversity, and possibly water quality testing with Stream Watch. No experience required, you will be supported by Landcare Supervisors who will give you a safety induction, demonstrate how to complete each task, and teach you about the importance of landcare in caring for our environment. A tasty lunch is provided, along with all gloves, tools and equipment to undertake the tasks on the day. This activity requires a moderate level of physical activity, however please advise if you require any modifications for any injuries or disabilities. By lending a hand at this event, you'll directly contribute to the preservation of our vital riparian habitats, ensuring a greener future for all. Plus, don't miss out on some captivating talks with our special guests, Michael Gough and Sean Graham! They'll be sharing their knowledge about riparian ecology, fish science, and, yes, even turtles! And here's a fun extra: you might just get to hang out with some turtles yourself! Whether you're a seasoned environmentalist or a first-time volunteer, everyone is welcome to join.
