Join with Year 5 students to hear award winning children’s author Nova Weetman who will share her writing process, inspiration and stories she has written for older children.
Following the talk, you are invited to accompany MLC Libraries Director Inger Krueger and Deputy Director Amanda Lucas (1979), to the Walton Library for lunch with the Staff Book Club.
During lunch, Australian poet Claire Miranda Roberts, whose book Kangaroo Paw was shortlisted in the 2024 Victorian Premier's Literary Awards, will perform a reading of her poetry and participate in a Q&A session, sharing her insights into the world of poetry.

We are delighted that Dr Clare Looker (1998), the current Chief Health Officer of Victoria, will be joining us as the special guest speaker.
Dr Looker will share her insights and experiences from her time in public health medicine, including the health issues affecting Victorians and her experience working on the COVID-19 pandemic response. As a recognized leader in the field, her expertise and insights promise to be both fascinating and thought-provoking.
