Traditional Indigenous Games

Join an exciting collaboration between the Institute of Indigenous Wellbeing and Sport (IIWS) and the Shire of Narrogin. This 3 hour program focuses on cultural connection for all children between 10-17 years. The program includes a cultural activity, traditional Indigenous games and a light lunch. Come and learn about indigenous culture. The IIWS provides programs that use cultural connection as the catalyst to increase the health, and social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal Australians. Arts Activity: Traditional Indigenous Australian peoples were hunters and gatherers and were divided between men and women. We have organised a hunting and gathering activity for participants to learn about why this is important to Indigenous People. Children from 5-15 years of age can join this practical activity learning how to design, make and eat their own sushi and rice paper rolls.
