Victoria’s first fully academically selective coeducational Government High School, and one of only four academically selective high schools in the state. Nossal High School has been purpose designed to suit an adult, academically focused and highly aspirational cohort of students. Note: all funds are contributed to the improvement of the facilities at Nossal High School.

NHS Parent Uniform Consultation Online Meeting

Nossal High School is inviting parents and carers to a Zoom information session about our school uniform review.
In April 2025, the Department of Education announced updates to the student dress code, requiring all Victorian schools to review their uniform policies. The key changes require that uniforms remain affordable and that branded below-the-waist items (such as pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, leggings, and socks) be phased out from 2026.
We want to be clear that the decision about how to update our uniform rests with Nossal's School Council, and we are committed to approaching this thoughtfully and in consultation with our community. We have already sought feedback from staff and students, and we now want to hear from you.
This session will run for no more than 30 minutes via Zoom. A link to access this online event will be provided on the day.
Following the meeting, we will share a link to a short survey so you can provide further feedback in your own time.
Your input matters as we shape an approach that reflects the values and needs of our school community.

As ambition, friendship, and mischief collide, the characters embark on personal journeys through the tumultuous world of endearment, discovering that love rarely follows the rules in the chaotic, confusing and truly infatuated city of Illyria.

2026 Career Conversations at Home - Free online event

This online workshop hosted by Nossal High School and presented by Tyson Day from Arrive & Thrive is for parents of Year 9 and 10 students, will develop a deeper understanding of the importance of career conversations, how to have them, what good ones look like and some of the tools they can use to support their young person further. This will include information on Morrisby, The GROW Model, the Chaos Theory of Careers, and much more.
Every young person deserves to develop a meaningful career, and often, it starts with the proper support from their parents and guardians. Parents will also receive the Arrive & Thrive Career Conversation Dinner Menu to support this process.

This is a whole school event. All students are required to attend and actively participate in the swimming events, non-swimming activities and House Cheers. Students should bring bathers, a towel, goggles, sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses, hat), snacks, lunch and a water bottle.
Dress Code: Students are to dress up in their House colours or wear full NHS sports uniform.

Following the Meet and Greet part of evening, the Principal Team will talk to you about some important programs including the upcoming Roses Gap Camp.

* 6:40 - Families move to large House spaces to informally meet other House families and teachers

The Foundation Assembly marks a significant milestone in the Nossal journey, bringing together our newest and most senior students in a meaningful celebration of beginnings and achievements. Our Year 9 students, embarking on their selective-entry education, receive their Nossal badges alongside our Year 12 students who are preparing for their final year of leadership and academic excellence.
This special ceremony welcomes our Year 9 cohort into the Nossal community while recognising our Year 12 students as they step into their roles as school leaders and mentors. With families and staff gathered to witness this important tradition, the presentation of badges symbolises both the promise of new beginnings and the culmination of years of dedication.
The Foundation Assembly embodies the spirit of Nossal, a community that celebrates academic achievement, nurtures potential, and honours the unique journey of every student from their first day to their final year.

Banqer High Junior is an online platform designed to help Year 10 students develop key financial literacy skills, preparing them for important financial decisions in the real world. The platform offers interactive simulations where students can manage bank accounts, budget, explore career options, and learn about credit, debit, and investments.
Nossal High School is pleased to offer Banqer High Junior to Year 10 students on an opt-in basis. Financial literacy is a crucial skill in today’s world, and this program is designed to help students develop it. James Forscutt from Banqer High will be joining us for an information session about the platform.
