This is a 'play within a play'. Two feuding theatre critics Moon and Birdboot are absorbed into the play, which takes place in a Manor in the middle of a moor and become dangerously implicated in the activities of an escapee.

A humorous and nostalgic trip back in time to the Golden Age of Radio. They play actors broadcasting from a Brisbane radio station in 1954. They first present ‘The Maroochy Flyer’ by Errol Morrison, which provides a fanciful retelling of a true event in which a plane landed on a beach, and ‘Quiet Flows the Obi Obi’, a satirical take on Maleny’s past, present and future. As they proceed to broadcast further items, including a parody of the famous serial ‘Blue Hills’, things begin to go haywire

His plan is to kidnap Santa Claus and prevent him from distributing toys to children on Christmas Day.

This well-known English Folktale, Directed by Barry Harber, has been adapted and dramatized from the Benjamin Tabart version ‘The History of Jack Spriggins and the Magic Bean’. The talented Junior Players will once again be performing on stage and helping to bring some Festive Cheer to families and all who are young at heart.
