Please arrive at least ten minutes prior to the commencement of your tour. The tour will depart from the main foyer on Level 2 at the scheduled booking time. Please enter the building via our main entrance at 61 Musk Avenue, Kelvin Grove. While parking is not available on site, ample street parking is located in the Kelvin Grove Urban Village precinct. As tour numbers are restricted, we ask that you please cancel your booking if you are unable to attend so that your space/s can be made available to others.

Year 7 & 8 Dance Workshop - Launch

Friday 9 May 2025
As part of our Education Queensland Outreach program a limited opportunity for Year 7 and 8 dance students is available to participate in an ACARA curriculum based workshop on Friday 9 May, 4pm - 5:30pm (Term 2 Week 3). The $15 workshop includes dinner and two tickets (student and parent) to attend the Launch Dance showcase taking place on Friday 9 May, 6:30pm - 8pm. There is limited availability for this workshop and bookings are essential. Students are invited to engage in a Contemporary Dance workshop exploring key techniques, movement and expressive skills. Led by QACI Dance teacher Liz Collyer, students will gain insight into the creative process of Launch to uncover how the elements of dance and production elements have been used to communicate intention. Using concepts from one of the the performance pieces, students will explore improvisational practices to foster their personal style and develop their technical proficiency within contemporary dance.

Year 9 Discovery Workshops

Students in Year 9 can participate in our cross-disciplinary Discovery Workshops which enable students to experience QACI and explore their potential across the International Baccalaureate curriculum. These workshops will be held during our Open Day on Saturday 24 May, between 10am – 12pm. For a full list of available workshops, please visit https://qaci.eq.edu.au/enrolments/open-days There are no knowledge or experience prerequisites that apply to Discovery Workshops. Designed using a cooperative approach that merges elements from different subjects these hands-on workshops provide opportunities for lateral, collaborative, and creative thinking in fun and engaging ways with our world-class educators. Workshops are $15 per workshop. Workshops need to be booked by Thursday 22 May, 9am.

QACI Brilliant Futures - Collaborative Challenges

Saturday 29 March 2025
This extended workshop aims to foster a collaborative community that ignites curiosity and a passion for learning among our highly capable students. Our young learners will engage in enjoyable, hands-on, challenging activities to learn more about QACI's learning environment, connect with peers and interact with our QACI Outreach Mentor team. Our young learners will explore what it means to be an IB learner with a focus on developing critical thinking skills from multiple perspectives. A late morning tea will be provided; please ensure students bring a water bottle. Students are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the workshop for registration. Please meet in the QACI Central foyer via the main entrance on Musk Avenue (Level 2).

MUSE Ignite - a festival of original Year 12 theatre

Between Thursday 27 March 2025 and Friday 28 March 2025
QACI presents MUSE Ignite. Watch the graduating Theatre ensemble set the stage ablaze with nine original pieces that blend innovative storytelling with raw, creative energy. As a culmination of their Collaborative Project, each student steps into the roles of writer, director, designer, and performer, weaving their vision into something bold and compelling. The works burn with raw energy, illuminating the depths of their imagination and the power of collective storytelling. A lot can happen in each 10 minute performance – come and see for yourself! QACI Discovery Workshops

Discovery Workshops
Students in Year 9 can participate in our cross-disciplinary Discovery Workshops which enable students to experience QACI and explore their potential across the International Baccalaureate curriculum. These workshops will be held across two sessions during our Open Day on Saturday 11 May, 10am – 12pm and 1pm – 3pm. The content is repeated and students can attend two (2) workshops during Open Day. There are no knowledge or experience prerequisites that apply to Discovery Workshops. Designed using a cooperative approach that merges elements from different subjects these hands-on workshops provide opportunities for lateral, collaborative, and creative thinking in fun and engaging ways with our world-class educators. Workshops are $10 per workshop and include lunch. Workshops need to be booked by Thursday 9 May, 10am.
