We are thrilled to invite you to our Year 7 Father’s Day Breakfast on Thursday, 5th September 2024. This event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the important role you play in the lives of our students whilst also bringing the school community closer. While this breakfast is a fantastic chance for fathers and Year 7 sons to connect, we especially encourage fathers and daughters to join us, as this is a perfect occasion to create special memories together and deepen those bonds. Whilst there is no cost for attending this special event, there is an allocation restriction of 2 guest tickets per year 7 student. You do not need to reserve a ticket for your Year 7 child/children.

2024 Year 12 Charity Event: The Winter Ball.

The College Captains of the Catholic Leaders of Geelong Schools, are pleased to announce the 2024 Year 12 Charity Winter Ball. Students, please be reminded that the Winter Ball is a formal school event and standard school policies and expectations are in effect. It is crucial to note that no alcohol consumption is permitted, and any pre-Winter Charity Ball events must not take place before the actual Ball. Additionally, the consumption of drugs, smokes or vapes is strictly prohibited, and any form of anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated. Students who arrive at the venue displaying any indications of drug or alcohol use will be denied entry, and parents will be notified to collect their child. To ensure the safety of all attendees, professional security personnel have been hired. Once students have entered the venue, they will be required to stay until the Ball finishes at 10.00pm. If students need to leave earlier, they must arrange this with a member of staff prior.

SICG Trivia Night

An exciting night awaits for the Saint Ignatius College Community with the inaugural House Trivia Night happening at the College (top level of Loyola) on May 31 from 6.30-9.30pm. Costs are as follows; $100 for a table of 10 or $15 a ticket. All funds raised from this evening will go towards sending a Kenyan teenage girl to secondary school for a year, or hopefully maybe longer depending on how successful the event is. Drinks on arrival supplied by Bellarine Estate and Barwon Head’s Brewing Co. Please BYO your own non-alcoholic beverages and snacks for the rest of the evening. There will be games throughout the night with a gold coin entry to participate, with some great prizes to be won. In addition, a gold coin will buy a question each round. THE 2024 SICG EASTER EGG HUNT.

The Saint Ignatius College Community is invited to our 'SICG Easter Egg Hunt,' to be held on Sunday the 24th of March, at 10.30am. 'The Little Tackers' (1-5) will have their own separate designated area, whilst children over the age of 5 will embrace the hunt on the main oval. There will also be an Easter Mini Market from 9.30am. Tickets for our Easter Egg Raffle will also be available for purchase on the day, 1 ticket for $5, 3 tickets for $10, cash purchases only. All profits from the Easter Egg Hunt, and Easter Egg Raffle will go towards student resources at the College.

Easter Mini Markets at Saint Ignatius College Geelong

Saint Ignatius College Geelong warmly welcomes market stall holders to our '2024 Easter Mini Markets.' The College hosts an annual Easter Egg Hunt, & the 'Mini Easter Markets' will compliment the fun for this day.Stall holders with current WWCC are invited to bring their own standard trestle size table (s) to our 'SICG Easter Egg Hunt' on Sunday the 24th of March, 2024 between 9.30-11.30am. (The hunt is at 10.30am). Entry for this event is via the Gillies Road gate, & stall holders must be set up & ready to trade by 9.30am. Stallholders must bring their own EFTPOS machine or any other payment devices required. There will be no access to power. In the event of inclement weather, stall holders will be notified 2 days prior to the event for the 'Plan B.' Stall holders are able to bring (and pay) for as many trestle tables as required. 2024 MacKillop Hot Cross Bun Drive.

Hot Cross Bun Fundraiser for Project Compassion Traditional & Chocolate packs available ($8). Dates: Orders to be placed between Monday 19 February, and closing - 11am Friday 22 March. Pick-up: Pick up at Food Tech kitchens Tuesday 26 March. (Please note that the buns can be picked up at recess, lunchtime or after school on Tuesday 26 March, otherwise the will donated to a chosen charity). Each year, Project Compassion comes as a timely reminder of the importance of solidarity and how a single act of kindness – whether big or small, can make a life- changing impact in the lives of those who need it most. The theme of Project Compassion is ‘For All Future Generations.' This phrase is a powerful affirmation that the good that we do today will extend and impact the lives of generations to come. It is also a call for all of us to play our part in making the world a better place by working together as sisters and brothers in finding long- term solutions to global issues.
