SV Rhona H
Built in 1942: Hobart's smallest and oldest working tall ship. Sails are always set and guests are welcome to participate or sit back and relax. We care about traditional sailing, conservation and health promotion whilst giving our guests a fantastic time afloat on our historic vessel.

NYE this year: a personalised SV Rhona H experience. An opportunity to see the early fireworks out on the water with canapé style refreshments. All tickets $120 Boarding 8pm in time for a sail around the river, then we will choose a vantage point out on the river for a spectacular view of the early fireworks before returning to the dock. We aim to be back alongside around 10pm. Limited to 15 guests.

Sail into the AWBF: Parade of Sail onboard SV Rhona H

Friday 7 February 2025
We have a different format for the 2025 AWBF. Join us in Hobart and sail towards the Iron Pot where we will turn and join the fleet at 11:30 by the John Garrow Light for a return sail to Hobart with the formal Parade of Sail. This gives the best opportunity to make use of the prevailing winds on the day as well as enjoying the spectacle of boats as they sail from the John Garrow, close to Rosny Point and back to Hobart. Morning tea and lunch onboard.

Knots and Hobart’s Maritime Heritage!

Between Saturday 18 December 2021 and Monday 14 February 2022
This is a special event supported by the City of Hobart. It is in two parts. The first is to come onboard with a small group and create a mini-mat or another piece of traditional knot craft. We will provide the materials and teach you how to make your creation that you get to keep. It may inspire you to make more. They make great gifts! Then, those who have attended the first session, a later opportunity to return for another short history sail at a reduced rate!

Afternoon Sail: King of the Derwent spectator

We will set sail to watch the King of the Derwent Yacht race. Afternoon tea will be served during the afternoon Guests will see the boats sailing and it is a highlight of our calendar each year. As we are mindful of the yachts racing and are careful not to impede the race, the actual course we will sail isn’t known until we are out on the River Derwent.

Depart Hobart at 09:00 Head past the John Garrow Light Sail down the Channel to Kettering and see the boats that are part of the rally We will have lunch onboard Sail back to Hobart as the boats go out and sail for the afternoon sailing activities. Morning and afternoon tea included, too.
