Blind Bowling Guide Rails, Bumpers and Bowling Ramps are available for all bowlers. Please indicate use of these when registering. If you would like to play in the team's competition, and do not have a team, WADSA will allocate you to a team. Teams will be made up of 4 players. A Vacancy score will be calculated for absent team members.
The event is run on a handicap basis, with handicap being based on 100% of 200 Scratch.
All rules will be played in accordance with Tenpin Bowling Australia Rules and Regulations

THIS IS A SHORT COURSE EVENT.
The WADSA Swimming Championships are open to anyone in Australia with a disability. You do not have to have an official classification to swim in the WADSA Competition – in this case you will receive a “meet” classification for this competition only. Swimmers needing ID cards should contact WA Swimming. Swimmers should be aware that there is no shallow end in the pool. Please see the images at the bottom of the event for Classifications.

Structured sports activities such as those provided by the WADSA, helps build resilience and contributes to the positive mental health and wellbeing of those involved.
We will have an open division, and a BC3 division running on the day. Please select the division when registering! If you are unsure on which division you are in, please call 9470 1442. Boccia is played sitting down. On the day of competition players in divisions using tunnels will play with hard balls and players throwing will use soft balls. If you do not have a Boccia P{airs Partner, please indicate this on your booking, and WADSA will assign you a partner.

WADSA are piloting a 5-week Boccia Program - BOCCIA BANDITS.
Join us for 5 weeks of skill development, friendly competition and social fun. Boccia Bandits is open to individuals with a disability, aged 16+.
Boccia is an all abilities, seated version of the popular game Bocce, accessible for anyone to play. The sport has been growing in popularity after the best results Australia has ever seen at the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
Come along to the Leisurelife Centre each Thursday, learn the game and develop your skills in this easy to play, but hard to master sport!
5 weekly sessions held Thursdays 4pm - 5:30pm, Thursday 26th June - Thursday 24th July Inclusive.
Limited places available, registrations essential

Children must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or carer for the duration of the booking. WADSA staff will not be providing personal care or behavioural support during this session.

WADSA is offering Capacity Building training for our Member Clubs to empower and support clubs offering inclusive opportunities for people with disabilities, thanks to the support of the Department of Local Government, Sports and Cultural Industries.
First Aid is a vital skill in ensuring safe participation opportunities for people with disabilities, and WADSA is supporting our clubs by offering a Funded First Aid Course. The Hybrid course includes online self-paced pre course work, and a 2 hour in person training and assessment with Allens Training and LifeBeat First Aid.
Up to 2 positions are available for each Club/organisation. attendees must be able to complete online coursework prior to attending the in-person session.

Wet a line and have a good time meeting new people and improving your mental health through physical activity and social connection. Being a part of WADSA network can foster a sense of belonging. It’s all about joining in and connecting with others.
This activity is open to adults with a disability, aged 18+. A support person will be required to stay for the duration of the activity for behavioral and personal care support.
Please note, this is activity will be taking place at the river, which has varying water depths. While we will not be entering the water, Participants should be comfortable around water and have a basic understanding of water safety.

The event is run on a handicap basis, with handicap being based on 100% of 200 Scratch.

ABC Participation Competition - Remote Control Cars (Adults)

WADSA are hosting a range of Participation Competitions, supporting the Act Belong Commit Mentally Healthy Message!
Take Control of our remote-control cars, as you are put through your paces with speed and handling challenges! WADSA has a range of Remote-control cars, with various controls, suitable for all abilities! When involved in the sports – it’s a case of – the more you do, the greater the mental health benefit. What’s more, the longer you are involved, the greater the reward. It’s all about social connections and a valuable support network.
This activity is open to all ability levels, participants must be 18+. A support person will be required to stay for the duration of the activity for behavioral and personal care support.
Support Staff/Family are not required to purchase a ticket to attend to support a participant. please only book for the person participating as tickets are limited.

Try something new and test your aim with this Participation Competition Double Header: Nerf Guns and Blow Darts! Challenge yourself with a range of targets, and get involved in friendly competition with new friends! When involved in the sports – it’s a case of – the more you do, the greater the mental health benefit. What’s more, the longer you are involved, the greater the reward. ABC Aqua Come and Try Day - Kayaking and Raft Building

WADSA are excited to be hosting another great Aqua Come and Try Day, supporting the Act Belong Commit Mentally Healthy Message.
Work as a team to build a raft and test it on the calm waters of Kent Street Weir or take a more conventional approach and glide through the water in a kayak. Commit by doing something meaningful and enjoyable for you. Whatever your passion, participating in activities linked to this passion can protect and improve your mental health.
This activity is open to participants 18+ of any ability level. A support person will be required to stay for the duration of the activity for behavioral and personal care support.
Please note, this is a water-based activity. All participants will be required to wear a life jacket and should have a basic level of water competency.
Support Staff/Family are not required to purchase a ticket to attend to support a participant. please only book for the child participating as tickets are limited.
