This year our Government has committed to giving our First Nations people a Voice & the Flinders Community Association is hosting a community information workshop to help develop our understanding of indigenous heritage. The workshop will be held on Monday 20 February 2023, between 6.00pm and 8.00pm, at the St Johns Church Hall. The workshop will be delivered by the Koorie Heritage Trust which was was established in 1985 by Ron Merkel QC, the late Ron Castan AM QC & Koorie elder with a commitment to protect, preserve & promote the living culture of the Aboriginal people of south-eastern Australia. This workshop is suitable for anyone interested in growing their understanding of Australia’s indigenous history or who operate a business on the traditional land of the Bunurong People.The workshop is a must for local residents, community groups; students, educators or people involved in education, organisations who deal with visitor to the Mornington Peninsula.
