The award-winning Blackwood Woodchop & Easter Carnival offers a fun, action-packed day out for the whole family! Now in its 121st year, the event features one of the oldest woodchopping competitions in Victoria, attracting axemen & women from across the state. The Carnival begins with a Street Parade, followed by a host of activities including tug-o-war, gumboot throwing & pet show. Loads of fun stuff for kids – treasure hunt, novelty games and races, face-painting and more. With fabulous live music, market stalls, delicious eats and a licenced bar, the Blackwood Woodchop and Easter Carnival truly offers something for everyone. All set against the beautiful backdrop of Blackwood Recreation Reserve “the prettiest sportsground in Victoria”.
