Free Southern Shoalhaven Community Lead Resilience Forum

The Southern Shoalhaven Community Lead Forum is open to everyone in the community and in response to the need for the community to feel safe and heard, in a time when they have been impacted by natural disasters and global pandemic.The 2019/20 Summer Bushfires heavily impacted the communities of the southern Shoalhaven, followed by flood and isolation due to COVID 19 lockdowns and restrictions. Has left whole communities and individuals isolated, fatigued and traumatized, three years out from the bushfires many of the conversations in the community have turned to preparedness against future natural disasters, such as bushfires.
The purpose of the forum is for communities of the southern Shoalhaven to build connection in personal and community centered ways so that their resilience is developed to a point that they can take control of their own disaster preparedness.
The forum will bring together individuals from other communities that have, or are preparing disaster resilience plans
