Preceptorship Training
About
This preceptorship training has been developed and designed for nursing staff to gain confidence and knowledge supporting undergraduates and other early career nursing staff.This training aims to do so by assisting attendees to:
• Identify what makes a good preceptor
• Demonstrate effective communication and feedback
• Gain understanding around adult learning and teaching theories
• Develop and practice ways to evoke critical and reflective thinking for learners
• Plan for teaching moment in the clinical space
• Unpack the Australian Nursing Standards Assessment Tool (ANSAT) for undergraduate nursing students
• Relate knowledge learnt to workplace scenarios
• Identify and respond to those who are not meeting requirements
