Burdekin Rags to Runway
About
Burdekin Rags to Runway is a competition where entrants create wearable outfits out of cast off clothing or fabrics etc It promotes the idea of reusing secondhand and clothing from throw out rack to be remodelled into runway worthy designs. There is a budget section to encourage entrants to think outside the box in utilising a limited amount of cash to purchase item for their redesigns The Junior section is encouraging young designers to become involved in sewing and remodelling their clothes. The event culminates in a presentation night where all the entries are modelled before the winners of each section are announced.
