From Aboriginal Creation stories to flooding and climate change, our relationship with water is key to the past, present and future of Fishermans Bend.Join us to learn about the role water sensitive urban design plays in making Australia’s largest urban renewal project, an innovative and climate-resilient city.
Hear from Professor Tony Wong, from Water Sensitive Cities Australia, about the opportunity for Fishermans Bend to use water as a powerful enabler of urban liveability, sustainability, productivity and resilience.
The Remix Raingarden pilot is also being launched at this event. Led by Amira Moshinsky, and a team from the University of Melbourne, it's one of many great initiatives to embed water sensitive and circular economy principles. Come from 5pm to see a demonstration of the gardens and learn more about waste materials being used and data being collected.
