Join Pete Hay and Bert Spinks down at Eaglehawk Neck for an afternoon of yarns, poems and conversation.Touring their show ‘A Tasmanian Map’, Pete and Bert have wandered to different corners of the island over the past few years, sharing their work in a humorous and thought-provoking manner. Both writers which equally reflects a deep knowledge of Tassie’s geography and culture.
Pete Hay is a legendary poet, author and philosopher. Born in Wynyard, ‘Hazy’ has spent many years thinking about the nature of the Tasmanian identity and has a handful of books to his name. He returns to the Eaglehawk Neck Hall, having most recently performed there in a poetic odyssey.
Bert Spinks is a far-travelling bard and bushwalking guide. He has performed at numerous festivals all around Tassie and is the author of a book on Tassie towns.
The show begins at 3:30p.m. in the Eaglehawk Neck Hall, and is hosted by Turrakana Tasman Arts.
