Jesus in the 4 Gospels
The four Evangelists, Mark, Matthew, Luke and John, are four friends who carry us to Jesus who heals and encourages us to reach out to others.
Mark: Presents Jesus as the Good News, who performs eighteen miracles and when dying on the cross is truly recognised as the Son of God.
Matthew: Presents Jesus as the Teacher who fulfills the prophecies of the Old Testament and with his five discourses proclaims the Kingdom of Heaven.
Luke: Presents a vision of a merciful Jesus, the Universal Saviour, who proclaims the Good News to the poor and to sinners.
John: In John’s Gospel it is Jesus himself who proclaims himself by seven “I am” statements and by seven signs reveals his mission to the world.
