Angie Pai: Why You Like This?
Join us to celebrate the publication of ‘Why You Like This’, an art book co-production from Angie Pai and Eliza Jung. ‘Why You Like This’ takes readers on a journey through a decade’s worth of artist Angie Pai's creative pursuits, featuring 11 written responses from significant influences of the artist, memorabilia from the Pai Family Archive dating back to the 1930s, and highlights notable collaborations over the years.
The outstanding list of contributing writers include Eugene Yiu Nam Cheung, James J. Robinson, Jason Phu, Leah Jing McIntosh, Lily Goodwin, Panda Wong, Sebastian Henry-Jones, Tasha Tylee, Con Gerakaris, and Damian Smith among others. These key figures of the Asian-Australian community provide valuable commentary and insight that is relevant not only to Pai, but to artists of culturally diverse backgrounds.
