Jazz by the Green presents:
Mark Morand's 32 BARS
Friday 28th April at the Eltham Bowling Club
Mark has created a mission to compose 32 brand-new Australian jazz showtunes in the tradition of composers such as Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Harold Arlen and Hoagy Carmichael.
On 28 April Mark will bring a 9-piece band including the three fabulous vocalists from 'Our Favourite Things' to perform the first 16 songs in the project for us, along with selections from the Great American Songbook that trace the inspiration for the project.
The show will feature some of Melbourne's best musicians including Larry Kean (drums), Annette Yates (Double Bass), Tom Panckridge (trombone), Lauren Mullarvey (tenor sax), Vincent Bradley (trumpet), Susy Hull (alto and vocals), Yvette Hearn (vocals) and Jennifer Salisbury (vocals).
Friday 28th April
Doors open 7:00pm, music from 7:30 to 10:30 pm.
Tickets: Adult $20, includes nibbles, tea and coffee.
