Join us on a musical journey as we rediscover lost treasures and reimagine familiar forms through the music of Haydn, Jenkins, Finn, and Afghani composer Khaled Arman from Ensemble Kaboul.Our program features Michael Bardon playing Haydn's masterpiece Cello Concerto in C, which was lost for over 200 years and re discovered in1 961. Originally for small classical orchestra we reimagine it as an exquisite chamber work for Cello and String Octet.
Hear the astoundingly beautiful Karl Jenkins' Palladio for strings modelled on the Baroque Concerto Grosso form.
Add the music of Tim Finn from Crowded House re imagined for chamber ensemble, this performance celebrates the versatility of music and proves that great music transcends genres.
Experience the vibrant rhythms and haunting melodies of Gah Shekayat, a classical song from the Persian tradition, reimagined in a unique and exciting way that blends Western classical instruments and traditional Persian music.
