Inclusive Care Planning
About the Training
Caring for a person with a mental health condition can involve a broad network of people including relatives, friends and medical professionals like psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists and social and peer workers. Inclusive care planning refers to how everyone involved in a person’s care network can work together inclusively and collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcome for their loved one. Having knowledge of a system’s standards and your rights, as well as effective communication skills can prove pivotal, enabling care and treatment to be given effectively.
By the end of this course, you will be aware of the national standards for mental health services as well as your rights within these settings, understand the principles of working collaboratively, feel confident in using the practice of Open Dialogue to improve planning and communication and feel like you have the appropriate knowledge and resources to help assist an individual in inclusive care planning situations.
