About
A concert of instrumental music composed by award winning Canberra composer Michael Dooley. The concert will feature 3 works. The Piano Concerto #1 "Grace and Truth" performed by Andrew Rumsey, "The Land that is very far off" a celtic rhapsody for violin and orchestra, performed by Timothy Wickham, and "Australian Landscapes" for piano and orchestra, performed by Aaron Chew. The orchestra, comprised of many of Canberra's elite musicians, and top tier students from the A.N.U. school of music, will be conducted by internationally renowned maestro Max McBride. The pieces are also being recorded for production of an album to be released on CD and digitally. This recording project and concert are being partly supported by Arts A.C.T.Location
