All Saints' College is pleased to be hosting Fully Human - Cultivating our Learning: How we might co-create powerful experiences and environments that help us shepherd in the future we know we need on Tuesday 20 June from 6.00pm in the Centre for Performing Arts.
Djoowak: The Beyond Boundaries Institute, in partnership with Djaaliny, (our life-long learning program for all parents and educators) offer an invitation to hear from CEO and Founder of The Learning Future, Louka Parry, who will share with us insights from his global work in the field of social-emotional learning, including his recent trip to Israel to see city-level approaches in action.
“In a world of increasing complexity, we need deep capabilities for life-long, life-wide and life-deep learning. A holistic focus on multiple dimension of growth is being increasingly understood and embraced as key for not just the future of work, but for thriving into our unknown future. In fact, focusing on the different levels of wellbeing has never been more important at this moment for our schools, workplaces and communities as we struggle with multiple existential crises. Focusing on combining the multiple dimensions of learning and being, we will consider how we might co-create powerful experiences and environments that help us shepherd in the future we know we need. The future calls us to radically design traditional schooling and workplaces to return to the principles that make us most human: agency, belonging, creativity, discernment, and embodiment.”
Key provocations at this important event for parents and educators include:
- The significance of placing social-emotional learning at the heart of schools
- Considering a range of practices that we can use to enhance innovation and wellbeing
- Human-centred design and design thinking
