What better way to spend some quality time with friends and family, than by taking a steam train ride through the countryside? The Picnic Train is pleased to offer 2 special steam train trips between Rylstone and Kandos for local familys

Saturday 19 August

After boarding the train at Rylstone Railway Station, 5917 will work hard up hill through the scenic farmland to Kandos. Please note - You cannot alight from the train at Kandos

Our heritage diesel locomotive will then lead us back down the mountain with the steam locomotive on the rear pushing where needed.

Fares:

Please Note: All fares are for same-day return travel on the same train. Passengers do not alight at Valley Heights

First Class Duo — $80 for two people

First Class seating for two people. Two window seats in a spacious booth or Lounge.

Private Compartment — $150 per group

Enjoy the benefit of an entire closed-off compartment to yourselves — great for families and social groups!

One booking is good for up to a maximum of eight (8) adults, or a maximum of eight (8) per compartment.

Family of Four -- $85 for Four people

Four seats in a booth with a table in a heritage saloon carriage.

Full Carriage Hire — Call for Quote

Buffet Car:

We encourage passengers to bring their own picnic hampers. A small buffet car will be attached to the train

BYO alcohol is allowed, however, large eskys will not be permitted

Toilets:

Toilets will be open, but we suggest using the station toilets before boarding.

COVID-19 Condition of Travel:.

Passengers are asked to remain in their allocated seats as far as practical
Other COVID-19 restrictions may be implemented on the day depending on current alert level.
Passengers are required to follow all instructions from their carriage attendant.
