Many Melbournites will remember Dan as the bass-player of the much-loved WILDPUMPKINS AT MIDNIGHT who regularly raised the roof of the legendary Punters
Club back in the 90’s before absconding to Europe. Dan has been living in the
Netherlands ever since. His solo career began later with his 2017 debut “SONGS
FROM DAN” which was hailed as a “downright masterpiece”. His 2020 follow-up
“LETTERS OF GOLD” generated yet more superlatives both here and abroad. Back
in Melbourne for the 1 st time in almost 5 years this is an exclusive one-off show. Dan
will be presenting material from his past releases as well as his new album
“COUNTRY STAR” (due out on June 2). On stage with him will be the extraordinarily
talented bassist/backing vocalist Madelief van Vlijmen. With influences from the
dustbowl to now, their show is a sonic masterpiece of story-telling and pulsing
acoustic grooves.
