Winter School Holiday Workshop
As we honour the winter solstice, we will create candle holders/lanterns, sculpted in clay. Inspired by the season of Samhain, holding a light in the dark, cold slumber of winter, showing a path back to the sun and the familiarity of another cycle.
In the first week, we will create one-of-a-kind, avant-garde candle holders, using a variety of hand building techniques, as well as extruded and hand sculpted embellishments. The second week we will paint and decorate these creations, as well as hand rolling pure beeswax candles, to adorn our holders.
