Nyit Koort, a captivating Noongar language singing program presented by Lauren Davies, a talented Ballardong Noongar singer, is a delightful journey for children aged 18 months to 5 years old. In the Noongar language, 'Nyit' means 'little,' while 'Koort' translates to 'heart.' This beautifully reflects the essence of the program, which aims to touch the hearts of young learners through music and culture.

The stories and songs shared in Nyit Koort are rooted in four core principles: Koort (heart), Moort (family), Boodja (land), and Koorlangka (children). These principles serve as the foundation for the program, guiding the children on an engaging exploration of Noongar traditions and values.

Through rhythmic tunes and vibrant storytelling, Nyit Koort introduces children to Noongar vocabulary and pronunciation, fostering a sense of inclusivity and cultural understanding. By immersing young participants in the rich heritage of the Noongar people, the program nurtures a deep appreciation for Noongar language and identity.
