Buya Hamka the Movie is a biographical film based on the true story of the life journey of an Indonesian national hero named Buya Hamka. His real name was Haji Abdul Malik Katim Amrullah, a writer, journalist, educator, and politician who is known as the first chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). The film was directed by Fajar Bustomi under the banner of Falcon Pictures and was released on April 20, 2023, in theaters across Indonesia. This time, AIMF-ACT, as the Indonesian Muslim community in Canberra, intends to organise a movie screening of Buya Hamka with English subtitles at a local cinema.Location
