Byron Writers Festival presents a showcase of fresh new voices from Poets Out Loud. Preselected teams and individuals aged 12-18 represent their schools in this thrilling spoken-word competition. Hosted by Sarah Temporal and featuring 2022 Australian Poetry Slam champion Jo Yang.“These are young voices in an ancient tradition. They’re telling you how it is. They humbled us with their truth; with the lens of their world. There’s a lot of themes we’ve all experienced: Anxiety, the environment, disaster, identity.
