A handsome but arrogant Prince falls foul of an enchantress whose spell dooms him to spend his life hiding in his castle in the guise of a grotesque Beast. The Prince must learn to show kindness and compassion to all and until he learns to love and be loved in return, he will remain in the hideous body of the Beast. Belle is an avid reader and dreams of one day meeting her Prince. When the Beast captures her loveable but easily confused father, she sets out to rescue him and bring him home to their small village. Their friends eagerly await his safe return, including the Mayoress Lady Ida Down, her son Camemburk and the extremely vain Gaulstones, who intends to take Belle for his wife, regardless whether she agrees or not. Will the Beast ever find love and break the spell? Can anyone ever truly love such an ugly creature? Will the beautiful Belle find her ‘happily ever after’ or will Gaulstones arrogantly spoil her plans? Will ‘Beauty’ find her ‘Beast’ or her Prince, or maybe both?
