Auburn Frenchfest:Le Grande Ensemble/Le Carnaval des Animaux
Le Grande Ensemble is a collective of local musicians from the Clare Valley and surrounds, comprising of music teachers, students and other very talented people. The recital is coordinated by local music teacher, Auburn resident and French Fest committee member, Leonie Moore, who studied clarinet at Elder Conservatorium.The group was formed to play in the inaugural Auburn French Fest, creating a recital of solo and chamber music written by French composers, spanning 400 years of French history.
Le Grande Ensemble returns this year to play some of their favourite works from 2021, plus excerpts from Le Carnaval des Animaux by Saint-Saens, accompanied by artworks from students from Horizon Christian School at Balaklava.
