Webinar recording: Strong Foundations for Collaboration
Date recorded: 22 June 2023
Nothing is more critical to the success of a project than collaboration: working together towards a common goal. However, aligning systems, values and objectives across the ever-increasing number of specialists needed to complete a complex construction procurement is easier said than done.
Our half-day intensive webinar for 2023 examines three key structures that underpin relationships on construction projects, each of which can make or break collaboration.
Consultant Kiri Parr will draw on her thought leadership in law, strategy and governance to evaluate the ways in which some common procurement models can enhance or diminish collaborative work – including construct-only, D&C and ECI. We’ll hear from informed by Planned Cover Risk Manager Felicity Dixon about structures that enable consultants to work cooperatively together, from joint ventures to sub-consultancies. Then Gavin Crump of BIM Consulting will share his practical insight into how BIM can be used most effectively to support collaboration. We’ll finish with a panel discussion and audience questions for all three speakers.
