Little Gifts 2023: A Concert Evening with Samantha Muir
Dr. Samantha Muir went to school in the Perth Hills. She is now an internationally recognised classical guitarist, ukulele and machete player and composer/arranger residing in the UK. Sam has a particular passion for two little members of the string family; the ukulele and machete. In this intimate acoustic concert she will play her own arrangements of classical, traditional and original pieces on both ukulele and machete. Sam will also explain her recently completed PhD thesis related to the role of the ukulele in classical music and her current work to place the ukulele firmly in serious musical repertoires.
