THE HOUSEMATE is the first horror feature film produced through Dark Play Studios.It tells the story of Em and Ruby, two young women who decide to rent a property together, after only meeting for the first time at the house open. Almost immediately, things start to happen that can't be explained. Em bares the brunt of these very unsettling events, and soon she discovers the terrible history of this riverside property. Something lingers. Something deep beneath the murky waters was left hidden for many years, but has now returned to claim the house as their own.
