Trauma-informed practice is a strengths-based approach grounded in an understanding of, and a responsiveness to the impact of trauma that emphasises physical, psychological, and emotional safety for both providers and survivors.Morning Tea and Lunch will be provided - Please email event organiser with dietary requests
While the training is aimed at young people in Youth Justice system, you will gain:
· a basic understanding of the impacts of trauma on brain development and behaviour;
· an understanding of trauma-informed practices and the ability to apply I to your work or role;
· a familiarity with different group strategies that will assist routines an behaviour management
