Join Cocky Guides for a journey back in time to Brisbane's St Helena Island. We will be transferred by minibus from Brisbane's Royal on the Park Hotel at 7.45 am to Moreton Bay and then travel to the island by ferry across Moreton Bay to discover dark chapters of Australia’s colonial history, brought to life with a guide from St Helena Theatre Troupe. From the Aboriginal beginnings to the Nineteenth Century prison settlement, you’ll be regaled with a number of sometimes sad but often funny stories. There is also plenty of space both on the ferry & at the island for dog guide teams to relax and recharge throughout the day.
The cost is $178 per person or $278 with a companion. This price includes return private transfers from Royal on the Park, ferry, one in four group support, St Helena Island local guide and a picnic lunch. We arrive back at Royal on the Park Hotel in Brisbane at approximately 3.45 pm. If you require additional support you will need to bring a companion.
