Life has been hard for Joseph and his family for the past year after a famine hits the region. His wife Gertrude wants to get rid of her step-children, Hansel and Gretel, so that she won’t have to share what little food they have left. She takes them into the forest and leaves them there to die, but they are befriended by Oscar the wise old Owl and some Forest Elves, who keep them safe through the night.
Will the owl and the elves help Hansel and Gretel escape from the clutches of the Wicked Witch Narda, helping them to find their way home again? Let’s hope so - then everyone will be able to live happily ever after.
