The Argyle Trio
The Argyle Trio, comprised of three award-winning musicians of international renown, will be presented in concert at the Hobart Town Hall by Virtuosi Tasmania. Argyle Trio members - Wilma Smith (violin), Matthias Balzat (cello) and Laurence Matheson (piano) - are based in Melbourne and Dusseldorf with extensive experience of high-level performance as winners of international competitions and regular collaborators with international artists. They took their name from Argyle St bordering the Hobart Town Hall in recognition and appreciation of their first concert together there in February 2020.
