Join Ocean Grove Coastcare for a screening of the Flyways documentary, one of the most beautiful and remarkable Australian films released this year. Each year, millions of shorebirds follow ancient flyways moving from the south of the planet to the north and back again. Using nanotechnology and global tracking from the International Space Station, the project uncovers the paths of the world’s greatest, feathered endurance athletes and shines a light on the scientists and international lawyers who collaborate to save them.
Following the screening, local bird expert Barry Lingham will speak about our very own Latham's Snipe, which arrive annually from Japan to call Ocean Grove their Southern Hemisphere home.
Bookings on tab above - please note doors will open at 5.30 for purchasing food and drink, before the film starts at 6pm. Donations appreciated.
