Make the most of your October Long Weekend by coming along to the 2023 Wagga Picnic Races
for a day of picnic racing at its best.

Features unique Australian Country racing with both amateur and professional races. A full local and metropolitan betting ring is available for racing enthusiasts. Interstate racing enthusiasts can also enjoy live races on the big screen throughout the day. For 2023, the horse racing will be as usual, so you can expect 6 great races of entertainment, including:

We are back to a family-friendly race day, including kids entertainment and our ever popular Fashions on the Field. A wonderful day topped off with some beautiful weather and plenty of laughter!

The Wagga Picnic Races are proud sponsors of Country Hope- providing family centred support services to country children diagnosed with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. To date, the Wagga Picnic Races have raised over $850,000 for Country Hope.
