Jazz Songs of Innocence - Blackwood
JAZZ SONGS OF INNOCENCE was inspired by the painter, poet and mystic, William Blake’s most famous writing – Songs of Innocence and Experience. British composer, Bob Chilcott, has set 5 of Blake’s timeless themes of wisdom and humanity into a jazz-influenced work – JAZZ SONGS OF INNOCENCE. The music is exquisitely beautiful and matches perfectly the tenderness of the text.
The program also includes the rousing and well-known classical choral works - ‘Hodie’ and ‘Festival Sanctus’ from the pen of American composer, John Leavitt.
Ring Silver Bells, Sleigh Ride and Mele Kalikimaka also feature in the program.
In addition, the ILLUMINA VOICES HAND CHIME ENSEMBLE will ring in the joy of the upcoming Christmas Season.
