Sweet As follows Murra, a 16-year old Indigenous girl who is on the verge of self-destruction. That is, until her uncle secures an unusual lifeline: a “photo-safari for at-risk kids”. Murra isn’t entirely convinced, but she soon joins Kylie, Sean, Elvis, and team leaders Fernando and Mitch on a transformative bus trip through Pilbara country in Western Australia.Inspired by a true story, Sweet As is an uplifting coming-of-age road movie about unconventional friendships, with incredible performances from its young cast.
