A program of Chopin’s Mazurkas, songs of Pauline Viardot, which were arrangements based on Chopin’s Mazurkas, and Schumann’s lovely Frauenliebe und leben.Linda Barcan trained at the Conservatorium of Newcastle, the Sydney Conservatorium, and at NIDA. She was the recipient of a French Government scholarship to undertake studies in France, leading to a two-year engagement with the Opéra de Lyon. On her return to Australia, Linda performed for many years with Opera Australia at the Sydney Opera House and the Victorian Arts Centre. She has had an acclaimed wide and varied career as a concert and recital performer, educator and academic.
Coady Green is a major talent on the international concert circuit, described as “a virtuoso pianist with sensitivity, intelligence and charm”, “accurate and exhilarating” and with “a strong and versatile technique capable of the most delicate colouring and tonal brilliance, rising to the challenges of extreme virtuoso demands with relish” .
