Juliet and Romeo
Juliet & Romeo makes a triumphant comeback after a ten-year sleep.
This cheeky free-adaptation by Mark Rogers takes as many liberties as possible with Shakespeare’s original, paying homage to the Bard’s genius with double-meanings and the grotesque intersection of tragedy with comedy.
This production drags culture into the gutter in the hope that in shaking free the dust of centuries of doting and fawning we can restore to Shakespeare some of his gleaming colours, his rawness, crudeness, and obscenity.
I hope you enjoy our show, or else we have failed in our endeavours!
