Christmas Walk & Talk -Maranoa Gardens and Beckett Park

Please join us for the AGHS Vic Branch end of year celebration and tour of Maranoa Gardens and adjacent Beckett Park in Balwyn, led by Boroondara horticultural specialist, Andrea Dennis. Started in 1901 by JM Watson as a private garden, today Maranoa Gardens have a diverse botanical display of Australian and NZ plants. Adjacent Beckett Park is known for its elevated site with views across Melbourne and its stone observation tower will be open for us to climb. We will also have our traditional Christmas raffle so please bring your coins.
Meet : Beckett Park car park (off Parring Rd, Balwyn)
Time: 4.45pm for 5pm start
Bring: Picnic dinner and chairs/rugs, mug (tea and coffee available) and coins for raffle. Picnic gear can be left at the Maranoa Office whilst we walk.
