Join us to celebrate our rights and freedom and remember those who are still fighting for theirs. Supported by Moreton City Council, the Zonta Club of Redcliffe Inc. has a morning of guests including a speaker from United Nations Brisbane, and music by Redcliffe City Band of The Salvation Army . Human Rights Day is observed on 10 December every year across the world. On this day, in the year 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). Every human being is entitled to these rights regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.In 2023, Human Rights Day is "Consolidating and Sustaining Human Rights Culture into the Futureā, and is celebrating 75 years.
Light refreshments provided, Hot drinks available to purchase from a Powderkeg's Coffee Wagon will be available. Some seating provided.
